PETITION TO THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL
HIS EXCELLENCY GENERAL THE HONOURABLE
SIR PETER COSGROVE AK MC

We the following, petition Your Excellency to direct Representative Legislators and Public Servants Australia wide,
to undertake immediate and effective action to ensure the survival and future for our Koala mammals, including for:-

i. Close down the Immigration Programme adding to plague overpopulation and driving the destruction of Koala habitat.
ii. End land clearing/logging of Koala habitat. Prohibit further foreign ownership of our Native Land.
iii. Allocate funds for the public purchase of appropriate habitat land, to be maintained in perpetuity as Koala Bush Reserves.
iv. Provide financial support to Australian primary producers for management and extension of Koala habitat land.
v. Undertake suitable Eucalypt tree planting for habitat connecting to aid Koala movement and territory expansion.
vi. Create a paid Youth Volunteer Service Corps to participate in Bush Craft and Koala Management activities.
vii. Introduce a Public Education Scheme to raise public awareness of the declining state of Australia’s mammals, and for personal action/involvement to aid Koalas
viii. Provide funding for Australian zoos and relevant institutions to formulate and execute breeding programs in order to boost the Koala population Australia wide.
ix. Introduce into schools a curriculum that teaches our youth to respect and protect our native fauna.
